IMER is a multidisciplinary research group at the University of Bergen. The centre seeks to contribute to increasing research-based knowledge about international migration, primarily in European countries and the consequences of immigration and emigration for societies. Core themes are: Modes of “being”, urban studies, diversity and society, gender, citizenship, mobility, migration and refugee studies.

International migration, integration and ethnic relations (Institutt for samfunnsforskning)
The research group, ISF, works on national and international issues. Their work focuses on integration of refugees and immigrants in Norway and beyond. The connection between ethnicity (religion and culture), class and gender is a core theme for the research group.
